H-Town represents on the ard Grit

Word up team from the "Grim North of England". I'm up here checking in on my old skool H-Town buddy Dave "Filth" Parr and today we hit the Grit.

We took on The Roaches here in the Peak District and got a couple of hours of good times grit bouldering in before the snow storm came through and we retreated in good english style to the pub.......

Did a few V2's and V3's and tried a V4 and V6 before the snow came. We were up on the upper Tier boulders. Pretty wet and manky landings and the rock was pretty slimey and damp in places but hey, it's what the brits call good climbing and the grit is pretty cool to climb on.

It was the usual english mad day. People walking everywhere, dogs, dudes doing crap looking leads in the snow and english sandbagging. However I ruled and showed them all how to do it.... well kinda. I felt strong and the little climbing we did do before the snow set in I felt pretty good. Getting most things we tried 1st or 2nd go. Wanted more time to work a few more problems but when the snow comes down it gets kinda hard to stick the sloppers.....

Next stop - Spain and then France (FONT!!!! - Totally amped after watching Marty's copy of the real thing)

Stay strong team!

Yeah it was a bugger I didn't get any more photos of some of the other problems that we tried there. Got sucked up in the climbing and then the snow storm just started like BANG! and we were getting wet etc and had to be carefull with the camera.

Full on frost here this morning but we've got to get on the road again so next climbing stop is hopefully in Spain.

If anyone feels like a trip to the Grit my Man Dave Parr and Holgar the German will hook you up. They'll be around here for a while yet.
